Creative Cooking Crew Round-Up: The Alliterative Triple Decker Sandwich

June 30, 2014 by Joan Nova in Creative Cooking Crew Challenge, Sandwiches | 8 Comments

This month’s challenge was to take the iconic triple decker sandwich someplace it’s never been before. Oh yeah, and let’s make it an alliteration using at least 3 ingredients beginning with the same letter.

Wait till you see these creative mouth-watering combinations!

E: Edamame egg salad with grilled eggplant and wilted escarole from Platanos, Mangoes + Me!

loriC: Caesar Cardini Chicken Club Sandwich from Taste with the Eyes.

truita bocataP or O: Tortilla Española from Spanish Recipes.

Brie-Blueberry-and-Bacon-triple-decker-grilled-sandwichTriple Decker in B Major (brie, blueberries, bacon) by Cheap Ethnic Eatz.

B: Kale biscuit with bacon, beets, blue cheese mayo from Spinach Tiger.

14360912516_91a6b00ea8_zP: The Italian BLT (pancetta, pesto, provolone, peppers) from FOODalogue.

But, wait … there’s more. Click the links to visit the participating blogs for details and more mouth-watering images.

And, visit our pinterest board for more inspiration and a peek at past challenges. New one coming up in July.

NOTE: Some recipes found on FOODalogue are offered without ingredient quantities. They're meant as a guide to food pairings and techniques to be experimented with … in your own kitchen … to your own spice and taste levels … to your preferred portion sizes … and to however many people you’re cooking for. A perfect meal has multiple levels of flavor and textures, bright colors and tastes, and healthy(ish) choices. It's all about enjoyment. Enjoy the process, the presentation and the just rewards...eating!
