Tastemakers at Mizner Park, Boca Raton

It’s coming … two nights of food, wine, cocktails and entertainment featuring 11 participating restaurants on Tuesday, 9/24 and Wednesday, 9/25 (6:30-9:30 pm).

I was invited to participate in a media preview of the event and I came away thinking … wow, this is a really good deal and a great way to spend an evening or two.

Here’s a taste of what’s being offered at the participating venues.

The Cheese Course: Italian cheese tasting with Italian wine.

Dubliner: Shepherd’s Pie with Guinness Mac & Cheese paired with Black Velvet (Guinness+Cider).

JAZZIZ: Poached Main Lobster on Kobocha squash risotto with Newton’s Cure (gin, wine, honey, aromatics).

Kapow!: Banh Mi Vietnamese pork sandwich with Spicy Lover (tequila, cucumber, lime juice).

Karma Sushi: Chicken Pot Stickers and Super Tuscan wine.

Max’s Grille: Shrimp Ceviche with Sanguigno Jalapeño Margarita.

Tanzy: Meatball and Garlic Crostini with Whipped Ricotta. Beverage is Pineapple Mint Illegito Mojito.

Racks: Ahi Tuna Tacos and Retail Therapy (Rain Honey Mango Melon Vodka, Triple Sec).

Truluck’s: Pacific Stone Crab with Cava sparkling wine.

Uncle Julio’s: Shrimp and Mango Guacamole served with Spiced Mango Passion Margarita.

Villagio: Beef Carpaccio and Birra Dolce Vita, a smooth Italian brew.

Note: These are bite and sip size offerings but they do add up — drink responsibly.
