Yum, yum, yum!
It’s an English Muffin
that smells like cornbread
and when stuffed with cheese
tastes like an Arepa.
This is NOT a sponsored post. Thomas’ doesn’t know I exist.
“Recipe”
1 corn English Muffin toasted
1 slice fresh mozzarella
sliced strawberries and blueberries
drizzle of honey and freshly ground black pepper on fruit*
2 chive halved and crossed
assemble and microwave 20 seconds to soften cheese and fruit
*Honey and black pepper … you can’t have one without the other! It is one of my favorite food pairings and I always do it on fruit, cheese, cream, etc.
A perfect meal has multiple levels of flavor and textures, bright colors and tastes, and healthy(ish) choices. It's all about enjoyment. Enjoy the process, the presentation and the just rewards...eating!
I've always been a culinary improvisor which means I get my kicks out of recipe development. In the FOODalogue kitchen each meal is an adventure and the journey is as exciting as the destination. My favorite kitchen tools are imagination and intuition. I rarely look at a recipe, not even my own!
On these pages, I suggest food pairings and techniques to be experimented with...in your own kitchen...to your own spice levels...and to your preferred portion sizes.

Grilled cheese is a go-to breakfast for me, but yours is really amped up. I’ll have to look for those corn muffins.

Katie – Try it with corn flour or meal (I don’t know much about baking), but it’s the corn flavor that makes it really special.
I have a feeling Thomas will know you exist after this bit of inspired virtuosity! GREG

I have never thought to put strawberries on a grilled cheese but it sounds so right!
Yes, it is right — especially when you add honey and black pepper.
