I was happy to “meet” so many of my food blogging friends on the virtual trail in Mexico. They came from various parts of the U.S., as well as Canada, Turkey, Australia and Italy. Please visit their blogs for winning recipes, great photos and witty conversation.
But, first, let’s check out what they brought to the fiesta. Cuidado: Be ready to drool over these mouth-watering photos. They’re ‘food porn’!
Bravo to all!
Let’s start with Ben of What’s Cooking who prepared his favorite breakfast from Los Bisquets Obregón in Mexico City.
Val of More than Burned Toast in Canada took a virtual vacation to Oaxaca and presented a very interesting tale along with pork tinga.
Heather from Girlichef in Indiana provided a pictorial lesson on how to make your own tamales on her blog.
Giz of An Equal Opportunity Kitchen in Canada made her own taco seasoning and then created a colorful chicken and beans dish.
Peter of Souvlaki from the Soul from ‘down under’ (Australia) made prawn tacos, kohlrabi slaw and chunky condiments.
Julia from Grow.Cook.Eat in Cambridge, MA brought us Fish Tacos a la Maya Talum from the Yucatan Pennisula.
Erica of My Colombian Recipes made Tacos de Pollo and dressed them with a tomatillo salsa.
Jolita of Surfing the World’s Cuisine comes to us from Turkey with handmade gorditas and an apple salsa.
Maria of Kali Orexi in New York made a beautiful queso fresco-topped saffron rice and plantains.
Damaris of Within the Corners of My Kitchen in Santa Cruz, CA made this easy-to-do taco soup.
Cindy of CindyStar in Lake Garda, Italy took us to Puerto Vallarta and back to the movie set of “The Night of the Iguana”
Brii of Brii’s Blog in Lake Garda, Italy made a juicy-looking Turkey Mole Poblano de Guajolte.
Natasha of 5 Star Foodie in VA arrived just-in-time with dessert. Check her creative recipe for Mexican Chocolate Corn Muffins with Dulce de Leche frosting.
And, in case you missed it, here’s another shot of my Mancha Manteles which was made in the FOODalogue kitchen in South Florida.

Great round-up Joan! Love every bit and morsel … it all looks so delicious!
What fabulous dishes! Being on WW, I decided it would be too much temptation to make the dulce de leche cake I’d bookmarked. Bummer, but I still have 15 pounds to go. At least I can drool over all these dishes. A great round up, Joan.
