Entrant #5 Veggie Pasta Month
Ingredients: cauliflower, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, fresh basil, olive oil, bread crumbs, red pepper flakes, chicken broth.
Technique: Chop cauliflower into small florets, toss with a little olive oil. Layer in a bake dish with some chopped tomatoes. Add salt, some red pepper flakes, grate fresh Parmesan and sprinkle seasoned bread crumbs. Bake in oven for about 20 minutes.
To Serve: I added a little chicken broth to pan to create a little more of a sauce and then tossed in the pasta and added a chiffonnade of fresh basil.
It’s surprisingly good!
Note: FOODalogue suggests this recipe as a guide to food pairings and techniques to be experimented with…in your own kitchen…to your own spice and taste levels…and to your preferred portion sizes.

Cauliflower belongs with pasta more often…case in point here…indeed very colourful.
Thanks, Peter. I so agree and, even though I’m not a vegetarian, I obviously have a preference to pasta pairing with a vegetable than I do with a meat/fish protein.
In all honesty I HATE cauliflower but your photo makes it look soooooo appealing, it really looks delicious!

Wow, those cauliflower look great! I could just eat a plate full!
I love cauliflower but never thought to make it like this. I usually just mix it with broccoli, tomatoes, and onions. Your recipe looks delicious and I’m definitely going to make it.
one of my favorites here! This is such a great combo. When the cauliflower has some crunch, it goes so well with a perfect aldente pasta! beautiful!
Grazie a tutto!
I agree with peter not a lot of people do cauliflower with pasta. Way to change it from the ok side dish with some veggie dip to a main shining star!
